Contactless Precinct Caucuses

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Kandiyohi County DFL has made the decision to move to "contactless" precinct caucuses to protect the health of caucus participants and our communities. The state DFL Party has created this option for us, where attendees participate on February 1, 2022, via Caucus Non-Attendee Forms. This is not the same as a virtual meeting. To be clear, we will not be meeting in person or via Zoom on Feb 1.

Learn more about how the process works this year and what you need to do to get involved below.

Questions? We can help! Send us an email at: contact@kandiyohidemocrats.org or click the button below.

How Contactless Precinct Caucuses Work

Step One: Fill out a Non-Attendee Form

First, download this non-attendee form and fill it out. This form will allow caucus-goers to run to be delegates to endorsing conventions. Delegates elect directors for the county unit and delegates and alternates to the state convention, vote on what the DFL's priorities should be, and vote to endorse candidates. You can find out how to submit and what your precinct is to complete the form at caucus.dfl.org

Step Two: Fill Out A Resolutions Form

If you are interested in introducing a resolution or resolutions, download this form and fill it out. You can find out how to submit and what your precinct is to complete the form at caucus.dfl.org. These forms are the first step in updating the DFL Platform and Action Agenda for 2022. For a greater explanation of writing resolutions, you can check out this video.

Step Three: Submit the Forms to Us by February 1st at 9 PM!

There are multiple ways you can submit your non-attendee and resolution forms to us! You can email them to us, mail them to us, or drop them off at our office! However, make sure you get them to us by February 1st before the 9 PM deadline!
